Owner, The Cheese Parlor
Brandon Wood is a resident of Livermore, California, and is married with two children. He fell in love with cheese when his firstborn arrived 12 years ago—a moment that completely changed the direction and passion of his life. Over the past 15 years, Brandon has done everything he can to become deeply involved in the cheese community and to give back to the pastures, the animals, the makers, the mongers—and the curds.
In 2022, he opened his own tiny cheese shop, The Cheese Parlor, which is still going strong. Brandon is passionate about punk rock music, a devoted fan of the Bears and the Warriors, and is still sorting out his baseball allegiance since the A’s left Oakland—but he’ll get there.
His idea of perfection is living in a diverse community, coming home to family, a punk rock venue with good beer on tap, a fine cheese shop, riding his bicycle to work, and a wicked antique shop.
