Start the day off with a trip to the iconic Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company for an inside look at one of California’s most iconic farmstead cheesemakers. Guests will explore the Giacomini family’s historic dairy, where cows are raised, milked, and transformed into award-winning cheeses all on the same property. The tour highlights the farm’s commitment to sustainable agriculture, animal welfare, and multi-generational stewardship, while walking through the creamery and surrounding landscape. The experience concludes with a guided tasting of Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese’s celebrated lineup, showcasing the flavors of the land and the craftsmanship behind each wheel.

We will then take a scenic trip to the Straus Home Ranch, a beautiful farm on Tomales Bay where you will enjoy a cheese tasting of the exceptional cheeses from Pennyroyal Farm. We will hear from Michael & Vivien Straus, co-owners of Straus Home Ranch and The Cheese Trail, about the history of their family farm, the California Cheese Trail, and learn more about dairy in the region. Finally, you will enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch and head to your final stop. 

Our final stop of the day will be the incredible Heidrun Meadery where you will experience an expertly guided tour of their production facility and learn how their unique sparkling mead is made; observe honey bees in action and explore Heidrun’s bee forage farmscape, all while enjoying a sampling of their wonderfully refreshing sparkling mead varietals. After the tour, enjoy a beautifully curated tasting of Sonoma County goat cheeses from the esteemed and iconic Laura Chenel.
