Featuring:

Departing from the Barlow Marketplace in Sebastopol, we will take a short 20-minute drive to Redwood Hill Farm, a diversified family farm founded in 1968 by the Bice Family, and nestled among the picturesque redwood trees of Sebastopol, Sonoma County.  We will visit the certified humane dairy goat herd and milking parlor, where you can try your hand at milking a goat.  Springtime means baby goats and we will have a chance to play with the “kids” too.  Redwood Hill Farm is proud to supply their goat milk to Omer Seltzer, owner and cheesemaker of Mt. Eitan artisan cheese, a Sonoma County based artisan creamery.
Omer Seltzer was born into goat farming and cheese making on the family farm in the Judean Mountains, next to Jerusalem.
Omer was drawn to Sonoma County’s rich agriculture heritage and food culture and felt it was the right place for his new creation.
On our visit we will participate in a guided cheese tasting, experience the different textures and flavors made from the Redwood Hill Farm’s high quality milk.

Next, the tour heads to the family-owned Balletto Vineyards in Santa Rosa. Enjoy a tour of their estate vineyards and winery, followed by lunch at the winery, paired with Balletto wine. Tour participants will enjoy a 20% discount on wine purchases the day of the tour.

The next stop is Ambix Spirits, a small-batch apple brandy distillery. Walk through their orchard of more than 250 apple varietals and tour the distillation facility. In the tasting room, relax and taste apple brandies and apple wines paired with a cheese sampling.

The final stop is Wm. Cofield Cheesemakers, where you will see how British-style cheese is made, from milk vats to aging room to packaging. Following the tour, enjoy a cheese sampling on the picnic benches in front of the cheese shop.

After your tour ends, take a walk through The Barlow, and enjoy some local libations to round off the day.
