As a dedicated cheese professional, Luciana has spent over a decade crafting exceptional experiences for cheese enthusiasts in San Francisco. Beginning her journey as a cheesemonger at Market Hall Foods in Rockridge, CA, Luciana cultivated a profound appreciation for artisanal cheeses. She advanced to Gus’s Community Market, where she served as Cheese Manager and later as Cheese Coordinator and currently as Cheese Director, overseeing the cheese program across five locations. In these roles, Luciana curated an impressive selection of over 200 specialty cheeses and led a team to deliver outstanding customer service. A Certified Cheese Professional through the American Cheese Society, Luciana actively contributes to the cheese community as a board member of the California Artisanal Cheese Guild. Her passion for cheese has taken her around the globe, from the Slow Food Festival in Italy to renowned creameries in France and Switzerland and even Wisconsin, Vermont and our own Northern California backyard.
